Although family trips are something that commonly get made fun of in movies and television shows, I really believe that family trips are a great experience. While I don’t get to take my wife and kids on as many trips as I would like (because we all have such busy schedules), we make it a point to take at least one trip together every single year. Kids really do grow up extremely fast, and I realize that the day is going to come when they no longer think it’s fun to go on trips with their parents, and it’s for this exact reason why I think it is so important for us to make time now to go on trips together.
For our next trip (which will be taking place at the end of March), I am going to take my family to the city of Pittsburgh. My wife thought this was an interesting choice when I first told her about it, but after I explained all of the great things that Pittsburgh has to offer for families, she realized that we will be able to have a really great trip together there.
